ABOUT US

Lee Goldman grew up in Philadelphia and got his first taste of the underwater world on a SCUBA diving trip to the island of Bonaire, Netherland Antilles. A year after his return from the warm Caribbean waters he left to pursue his dream of working as a marine biologist for the beautiful but much colder waters of the Pacific Northwest. There he earned a degree in Marine Biology from Western Washington University. After graduating and upon completion of an underwater video called “Sea Symphony” a video he produced and filmed to showcase some of the beautiful marine life in the Pacific Northwest, he spent the next 10 years traveling around the world as a guide and biologist working in places such as the Florida Keys, Belize, Vancouver Island B.C., Palau, Guam, and the Philippines. In 2002 he left Palau to earn a Master's Degree at the University of Guam where he investigated coral interactions and pioneered new techniques for culturing corals. During his time on Guam, he also was the principal investigator for the Department of Fisheries' Sea Turtle Monitoring Project and helped develop community-based sea turtle awareness programs.

Lee is a certified SCUBA Instructor; an avid birdwatcher and a passionate kayaker, rock climber, hiker, and conservationist. He now makes his home in the Philippines and can be found dividing his time between completing his Ph.D. researching coral reproduction at the University of the Philippines, Marine Science Institute, his wife and little girl (a junior naturalist!) and guiding expedition and nature tours for Wilderness Travel and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in the Philippines, Micronesia, Mergui archipelago and other destinations around the globe. He is also a consultant and contributor for Dreamtime Publishing, a company that produces websites and guidebooks for SCUBA and snorkeling destinations such as the Philippines and Micronesia.

Jasmine Goldman has been a part of kayak and dive tour guiding for over a decade and, as camp manager, has been an important reason for our successful multi-day expeditions. Her formal training in restaurant management has prepared her well for her tasks at the campsite where she manages the cooking and campsite staff and the activities. Lorelai Goldman is a budding kayaker, snorkeler, and naturalist and although only 2 ½ years old, feels she is ready for the big time. Having joined us for many kayak adventures, she finds excitement in the smallest of things and provides us with a steady stream of reasons why we do what we do.
